Nickel alloy filler metal wire for cladding products is generally produced with a cold drawn reduction from a wire rod (the raw material) at 5,50 mm, to a final dimeter of 1,20 -1,14 mm wire- depending on the final application.

The process needs to different heat treatment passages – due to the fragile nature of the alloy - as well as special cleaning processes, in order to guarantee a state of the art quality of the cladding material.

The two nickel alloy grades to be produced in the plant are:

-NiCrMo3 (alloy 625) with a 60%min of Nickel which is heavily used in Off-Shore applications.

-NiFeCr1 (alloy 825) that contains an average of 40% of Nickel, it is a less expensive version, normally used in the On-Shore applications, but it is gain popularity in the Off-Shore as well, due to its good balance between price and performance
